Hebrews 11:1 (AMP) “Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].”
We need to find the evidence from God’s word to win our case against the Devil. You must go to the Bible and search out the verses that speak directly to your situation.
You need specific evidence from the Bible to bring God’s power into your situation, it is your faith in what God has said, that connects you to His supernatural ability.
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
The key: study, find the evidence you need to win the case. Why is this so important? Because it energises our prayer with confidence.
1 John 5:14-15 (NIV) 14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
God’s Word is His will. When we stand on God’s Word we can have the confidence that He hears us and will answer. As we trust God with our difficult circumstances and confirm God’s promises, every concern is released and placed in God’s capable hands. Praying God’s Word in your circumstance is the manifestation of His glory being lived out in our lives.
James 4:3 (NKJV) “You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.”
John 8:29 (NKJV) “And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.”
It is necessary to set aside our own will and accept God’s. If we do as Jesus did, we are sure to receive answers as He did.
John 15:7 ”If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”
What does it mean to abide with Christ? It means to remain, to dwell, to stay with. To abide with Christ simply means to always be aware of His presence. To be in constant communication with Him. To understand that He is always with you, and you are always with Him.
