1 November LUKE 21

My words will never disappear

Luke 21:33(NLT) Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

Jesus is telling us that in the future, the present heaven and earth we have today, will pass away, yet His Words will never pass away. In other words, the present heaven and earth that we have today will not always be here.

God’s Word, the truth, will stand firm even when this present heaven and earth have passed away. God’s Word will endure throughout eternity.

Luke 16:17(AMP) Yet it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for a single stroke of a letter of the Law to fail and become void.

Psalm 119:89(AMP) Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven [standing firm and unchangeable].

Isaiah 40:8(NLT) The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.

1 Peter 1:24-25(NIV) For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.

Everything else on earth and in heaven will pass away, but the Word of the Lord will always stand. This is our great comfort. For the Word is the one true thing that we can depend on. Not people, not things, not institutions, not even ourselves, but the Word.

The word of God endures forever because God is everlasting. The Bible is God’s word to deliver truth, wisdom for living, hope, power, salvation, healing, transformation, and revelation. It teaches, corrects, and trains us to serve the Lord.

Hebrews 4:12(NIV) For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

God’s word still stands today. God’s word stands sure forever! We can count on His word. God’s promises are true, and they are for you and me! We can surely trust that God’s Word stands firm and sure forever.
