I know that You favour me
Psalm 41:11(AMP) By this I know that You favor and delight in me, Because my enemy does not shout in triumph over me.
We all like to be favoured; it’s just natural. When my children were small, I would always ask them:
“Who is your favourite, Mom or Dad?” I never got the answer I wanted. They always said that Mom and Dad were both their favourites. I always wanted them to say Dad was their favourite, but that was never the case.
But look at this verse, David says: . . this I know, God favours and delights in me . . .
The word favour is like demonstrated delight. The favour of God can be described as ‘tangible evidence that a person has the approval of the Lord’. We usually favour those who also favour us. In the same way, God shows favour to those who delight in, connect with, and honour Him.
Romans 8:31(AMP) says: What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us?
Look carefully at this verse, If God is for us – if I know that God favours and delights in me, who can be successful against us? Because God is for me, my enemies will not shout in triumph over me.
Zechariah 2:8b(AMP) says: – for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.
Psalms 34:15(ESV) states: The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry.
I conclude with Psalms 5:12(ESV) For you bless the righteous, O LORD; you cover him with favour as with a shield.
Today know, that God favours you, for the one who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.
