12 August 2023 – One more night with the frogs

Exodus 8:8-12(AMP) Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron and said, “Plead with the LORD that He may take away the frogs from me and my people; and I will let the people go, so that they may sacrifice to the LORD.” And Moses said to Pharaoh, “I am entirely at your service: when shall I plead [with the Lord] for you and your servants and your people, so that the frogs may leave you and your houses and remain only in the Nile?” Then Pharaoh said, “Tomorrow.” Moses replied, “May it be as you say, so that you may know [without any doubt] and acknowledge that there is no one like the LORD our God. The frogs will leave you and your houses and leave your servants and your people; they will remain only in the Nile.” So Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh, and Moses cried out to the LORD [as he had agreed to do] concerning the frogs which God had inflicted on Pharaoh.

How can this be possible? They were everywhere, frogs in his food, frogs in his bed, frogs in his clothes, frogs all over his house, frogs in his water – and God was standing ready to remove those frogs instantly. The decision was up to Pharaoh – and what did he say? ‘Tomorrow’ thus, ‘give me one more night with those frogs!’

The message is that God wants to do a miracle today, not tomorrow. How is it possible that Pharaoh only wanted the frogs removed the following day?

Isaiah 55:6(KJV) Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

We get so used to frogs, the frogs of bitterness, the frogs of unforgiveness, the frogs of anger, the frogs of lust, the frogs of addiction, the frogs of greed, the frogs of insecurity, the frogs of shame and the frogs of indifference.

You say to yourself: I’m going to do it tomorrow. Tomorrow comes, and nothing has changed.

2 Corinthians 6:2(ERV) God says, “I heard you at the right time, and I gave you help on the day of salvation.” I tell you that the “right time” is now. The “day of salvation” is now.

“Certainly, we need to think through decisions, so we choose the best option, but sooner or later, it’s time to act. Procrastination is paralysis by fear, not astute planning. If you regularly have difficulty making decisions, look below the surface to identify your fears, and address them. Until you do, you’ll be spending a lot of nights with the frogs.” – Zig Ziglar

“You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.” – Abraham Lincoln

Make the decision, make the change. Don’t wait another day. You’ve waited long enough. Act today. Don’t spend another night with the frogs!
