15 April 2022 – Call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered

Today I would like to share a true story. In the nineteenth century, George Meuller founded a great chain of orphanages on nothing but prayer. He lived by faith, he refused to inform anyone of his needs, except, God in his prayers.

He housed more than 10 000 orphans with no steady financial resource. He trusted God daily for their needs. Most of his prayers were answered on the day he made them.

At times, there wasn’t any food in the entire orphanage, but Meuller and his staff would pray. Again and again, he records “supplies had arrived with only minutes before the children sat down at the table”

Why do you think he had such an impact? Because he believed the Word of God and had a strong faith and confidence in his prayer-answering God!

Joel 2:32 “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered.”

Acts 2:21 “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’’

Psalm 91:15 “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble;I will rescue him and honor him.

Romans 10:13 (NLT) “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Psalm 50:15, which says, “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” God’s promise is to deliver you from your trouble after you do the calling.

Psalm 86:7 (NLT) “I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble, and you will answer me.”

If you have read the stories about David, you know the Lord proves Himself strong on David’s behalf over and over again. He delivered David from dangers, enemies, and death.

Psalm 145:18 (NLT) “The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.”

Isaiah 40:31 (NLT) “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Jehoshaphat cried out, and God delivered him from death: 2 Chronicles 18:31 “It came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they compassed about him to fight: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord helped him; and God moved them to depart from him”

Hezekiah cried out, and God gave him victory: 2 Chronicles 32:20–21 “Hezekiah the king, and the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven. And the Lord sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valor, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land”

Praying in faith will bring you victory.

Have a victorious day.
