17 June 2022 – I have cared for you since you were born

Psalm 139:1 (NLT) “O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. 2 You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. 3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do.”

This is a beautiful expression of God’s personal involvement in our lives. So intimate is his involvement that he knows our thoughts before we utter them.

Psalm 139:4 (NLT) “You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord.”

His loving presence surrounds us at every moment, wherever we go.

Psalm 139:5 (NLT) “You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.”

He is before us and He is behind us. He is within us and He dwells in our heart. He is our guard and He is our guide and wherever we go and no matter whatever happens to us – He is there to lead, to guide and to comfort us.

God is personally involved in our life. Your entire life was mapped out prior to your birth. The psalmist declares: Psalm 139:16 (NLT) “You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. 17 How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!”

God wrote a book about you before you were born. It was mapped out and penned by God. You may wonder “But my life has not always worked out the way I would like it to be, bruises, and even bad choices. Did God author that?” No! God mapped out our lives, but sometimes we make wrong choices that can detour us. Don’t be discouraged. When we stray from the course, genuine repentance will bring us back to God. God is a God of second chances.

Job 33:29 (NLT) “Yes, God does these things again and again for people.” Although we have failed God many times, God will do it again and again for us. When we put our trust in God, He will take care of us.

Isaiah 46:3 (NLT) “I have cared for you since you were born. Yes, I carried you before you were born. 4 I will be your God throughout your lifetime—until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.”

What a powerful promise? God will take care of us. Even during our difficult times God is there for us. Psalm 56:8 (AMP) “You have taken account of my wanderings; Put my tears in Your bottle. Are they not recorded in Your book?”

Living on purpose is the path to peace. How do we live on purpose? Put your trust in God. Isaiah 26:3 (NLT) You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

Have a peaceful day.
