17 March 2022 – What to do when you are in a crisis?

You tell God that you cannot do this on you own. – 2 Chronicles 20:12 (NLT) “O our God, won’t you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us. We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help.

Listen to God – You have to have a conversation with God. Spend some time to enable God to speak to you. Read the Bible. God has already written everything in His Word.
2 Chronicles 20:15b-18(NLT) This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16 Tomorrow, march out against them. 17 But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord’s victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you!”
What is God saying?

Relax, don’t be afraid or discouraged. – Isaiah 41:10“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and I will help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

It is God’s battle. – 2 Chronicles 20:15 “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.”

Wait and watch what God is doing – 2 Chronicles 20:17 (NLT) Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord’s victory. He is with you. It is never God’s will for me to run from a difficult situation. If you run, you will face it somewhere else. Just stand and watch.

2 Chronicles 20:20b (NLT) “Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed.”

Thank God in advance – 2 Chronicles 20:21 (NLT) “After consulting the people, the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the Lord and praising him for his holy splendour. This is what they sang: “Give thanks to the Lord; his faithful love endures forever!”

What happens when we thank God in advance?

2 Chronicles 20:22 (NLT) At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the Lord caused the armies ….start fighting among themselves.

Mark 11:24 Any time you ask for something in prayer believe that you will have received it, and you will receive it.

For a breakthrough prayer you will need faith. You ask God only once, but in all your future prayers, you are thanking God. Stand on the Promises of God and thank him for it.
