We must make up our minds not to quit.
Hebrews 10:38-39 (MSG) “So don’t throw it all away now. You were sure of yourselves then. It’s still a sure thing! But you need to stick it out, staying with God’s plan so you’ll be there for the promised completion. It won’t be long now, he’s on the way; he’ll show up most any minute. But anyone who is right with me thrives on loyal trust; if he cuts and runs, I won’t be very happy. But we’re not quitters who lose out. Oh, no! We’ll stay with it and survive, trusting all the way.”
“We’re not quitters who lose out.” As God’s people we live by faith. Not always seeing with our eyes or even experiencing with our bodies what we are hoping for. We trust in the all-seeing eye of God, who is also all powerful. We trust Him!
Colossians 1:11-12 (MSG) “We pray that you’ll have the strength to stick it out over the long haul–not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that He has for us.”
Don’t be a quitter. Supernatural strength is available to you, if you will set your mind and heart on God.
1 Corinthians 9:26-27 (MSG) “I don’t know about you, but I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything I’ve got. No sloppy living for me! I’m staying alert and in top condition. I’m not going to get caught napping, telling everyone else all about it and then missing out myself.”
Every champion has felt it. Every president has felt it. Every king has felt it. Every soldier has felt it. Every winner has felt it. Every victorious person has felt It, the urge to quit! Don’t quit. God is in control.
Psalm 65:11(NLT) says, “You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.”
So, hold on to God and keep believing. God will pull through for you. God will crown your year with good things and fulfil His every word in your life.
Life is like riding a bicycle, to keep your balance, you must keep moving. – Albert Einstein
I would like to conclude with a quote from Martin Luther King – Jr “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”
Don’t quit, keep on going.
