19 November 2022 – Unbelief keeps us out of the Promised land

Hebrews 3:19 (AMPC) So we see that they were not able to enter [into His rest], because of their unwillingness to adhere to and trust in and rely on God [unbelief had shut them out].

Deuteronomy 1:32 (AMP) Yet in spite of this word, you did not trust [that is, confidently rely on and believe] the LORD your God,

Because of unbelief, rebellious man is denied entrance into the rest that God provides.

Hebrews 3:12-13 (MSG) So watch your step, friends. Make sure there’s no evil unbelief lying around that will trip you up and throw you off course, diverting you from the living God. For as long as God’s still calling it Today, keep each other on your toes so sin doesn’t slow down your reflexes. If we can only keep our grip on the sure thing we started out with, we’re in this with Christ for the long haul.

Romans 4:20 (NLT) Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.

God’s Word is a seed. Once planted, it will grow and develop into the fruit the Lord intends it to become. God’s Word is trustworthy. His promises are true. What God says, He will do.

2 Corinthians 1:20 (ESV) For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.

Scripture affirms time and time again that God never fails.

1 Kings 8:56 (NIV) Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.

Psalm 33:4 (NIV) For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.

Proverbs 30:5 (NIV) Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

Isaiah 40:8 (NIV) “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”

Matthew 24:35 (NIV) Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Luke 1:37 (NIV) “For no word from God will ever fail.”

2 Timothy 2:13 (ESV) If we are faithless, he remains faithful—for he cannot deny himself.

As God’s children, we can stand firm in our faith. God’s covenant with us is not going to fail. His Word is flawless. His promises can be fully trusted, no matter what our circumstances may be.
