19 October 2023 – God in the mist of our trouble

Psalm 46:1(KJV) God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Hebrews 4:16(NLT) So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

Philippians 4:6-7(TLB) Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 12:9(NLT) Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

Psalm 55:22(NLT) Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.

God is greater than anything on earth – Isaiah 40:18(NLT) To whom can you compare God? What image can you find to resemble him?

God is greater than our fears – Isaiah 41:10(NLT) Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Psalm 27:3(NLT) Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident.

God is greater than our enemies – Psalm 27:1-3(TLB) The Lord is my light and my salvation; he protects me from danger – whom shall I fear? When evil men come to destroy me, they will stumble and fall! Yes, though a mighty army marches against me, my heart shall know no fear! I am confident that God will save me.

Turn your circumstances over to God – Philippians 4:6-7(AMP) Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].

2 Chronicles 20:17(AMP) You need not fight in this battle; take your positions, stand and witness the salvation of the LORD who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.

Don’t tell God you have a big problem; tell your problem you have a big God!
