19 Sepetmber Psalm 142

When you feel trapped and alone, cry out to God

In Psalm 142, David feels overwhelmed by his circumstances, feels as though he has no one to turn to who understands. He calls out to God for help, pours out his heart and soul to Him. In his prayer, David expresses his loneliness and his fears, but also his trust in God.When you find yourself in circumstances where you feel trapped and alone, cry out to Him in believing prayer.*My unfortunate situation – Psalm 142:3b-4(NLT): Wherever I go, my enemies have set traps for me. I look for someone to come and help me, but no one gives me a passing thought! No one will help me; no one cares a bit what happens to me.*My plea – Psalm 142:1-3a(NLT) I cry out to the LORD; I plead for the LORD’s mercy. I pour out my complaints before Him and tell Him all my troubles. When I am overwhelmed, You alone know the way I should turn.*My portion – Psalm 142:5-6a(NLT) Then I pray to You, O LORD, saying, “You are my place of refuge. You are all I really want in life. Hear my cry, for I am very low.*My expectation – Psalm 142:6b-7(NLT) Rescue me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me. Bring me out of prison so I can thank you. The godly will crowd around me, for You are good to me.”This Psalm teaches us the power of prayer and reminds us to pour out our hearts to God, knowing that He hears and cares for His children. It teaches us how to pray and seek refuge in God when we face overwhelming trials.
