God hears our cry for help. His ears are open to us. Not only does God hear us, He delivers us from all our troubles.
Micah 7:7 (NLT) As for me, I look to the LORD for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.
Psalms 34:17-20 (MSG) Is anyone crying for help? GOD is listening, ready to rescue you. If your heart is broken, you’ll find GOD right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath. Disciples so often get into trouble; still, GOD is there every time. He’s your bodyguard, shielding every bone; not even a finger gets broken.
Psalm 18:6 (NLT) But in my distress I cried out to the LORD; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.
When Peter was sinking in the waves, he cried out for Jesus to save him, and Jesus did.
Matthew 14:30–31 (ESV) But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”
To cry out to the Lord, reveals our absolute dependence upon Him. Our cries show our trust in Him, to act on our behalf.
Psalm 56:8–9 (NLT) You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help. This I know: God is on my side!
Exodus 3:7-8 (NLT) Then the LORD told him, “I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers. Yes, I am aware of their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land. It is a land flowing with milk and honey—the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live.
Sometimes it may look like God has deserted us or that He does not hear our prayers. God sees exactly what you are going through. It does not matter who left and rejected you, God heard your cry. He knows what trials you are facing, and He has sent me to tell you that He will show up and provide for you, as He promised.
