Philippians 4:6-7(AMP) Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].
What is prayer? It is the term used to address God.

Hebrews 4:14-15(NLT) So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.
God wants us to call on His name.
Psalm 50:15(NLT) Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.
Psalm 86:7(NLT) I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble, and you will answer me.
Prayer is the privilege of the righteous.

1 Peter 3:12(NIV) For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
Prayer is asking, seeking, and knocking.
Matthew 7:7-8(NIV) Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
The Greek meaning of ask is beg, call for, crave, desire, require. The Greek meaning of seek is conveys intensity and earnest sincerity.
Psalm 70:4(NIV) But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The LORD is great!”
Knock means persistence. We knock on the door of heaven and keep on knocking!
