Always praise the Lord
Psalm 113:3(NKJV) From the rising of the sun to its going down, the LORD’S name is to be praised.
Psalm 34:1(NKJV) I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
While seasons shift and turn, our praise must remain constant. Regardless of the season you are experiencing in life, never cease to offer praise. Praise God in all seasons and always.
Paul and Silas understood that praising God was not dependent on their circumstances. Thus, while confined in prison at midnight, they began to pray and sing hymns to God, captivating the attention of their fellow prisoners.
Acts 16:25-26(NIV) About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.
1 Thessalonians 5:18(NLT) Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
Our praise should not depend on our current circumstances. Habakkuk 3:17-19(NLT) Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign LORD is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.
In every circumstance, praise and glorify the Lord.
Hebrews 13:15(NLT) Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name.
Praise invites God’s presence into every situation, shifting the focus from oneself to God. When you focus on God, it changes your heart and bolsters your faith.
