21 May 2021 – God is able

Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV) “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us”

Ephesians 3:20 mentions God “that is able to do.” “To do” means to make, form, or produce something tangible. “Able” means to have (inherent and moral) power. It is saying “God can do!” Our God is a can-do God! Things that are impossible with men are possible with God.

God’s can-do ability is “exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.” Not just “above,” not just “exceedingly above”—God can do “exceeding abundantly above” all that we ask or think, when we ask and think according to what He has promised in His Word!

A woman once approached the famous preacher, G. Campbell Morgan, after he spoke and asked, “Do you think we should pray for even the little things in our lives, or just for the big things?” He replied, “Madam, can you think of anything in your life that is big to God?”

2 Corinthians 9:8 (NKJV) “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”

What a wonderful thought to think that His mighty power is at work within us. He is working in our hearts and lives for a greater purpose. The Lord wants to see even greater things accomplished through your life. Don’t settle for less, believe for His best and give Him all the glory.

God wants to prosper you. Don’t settle for anything less, thinking that He only supplies your needs and not your wants. God is the God of more than enough.

“The Great Provider is more than enough to take care of you. Your worries will melt away as you trust God to meet your spiritual, directional, emotional, physical, and eternal needs.” – Tony Evans

2 Peter 1:3 ESV “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence”

I conclude with Psalm 91:4 (NLT)“He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armour and protection.”

Have a great day.
