Without faith it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6(NLT) And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
Faith without works is dead. James 2:14(NLT) What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?
Prayer is a conversation between us and God. 1 Samuel 1:12-17(NLT) As she was praying to the LORD, Eli watched her. Seeing her lips moving but hearing no sound, he thought she had been drinking. “Must you come here drunk?” he demanded. “Throw away your wine!” “Oh no, sir!” she replied. “I haven’t been drinking wine or anything stronger. But I am very discouraged, and I was pouring out my heart to the LORD. Don’t think I am a wicked woman! For I have been praying out of great anguish and sorrow.” “In that case,” Eli said, “go in peace! May the God of Israel grant the request you have asked of him.”
Isaiah 58:9(NLV) Then you will call, and the Lord will answer. You will cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you take the weight of sin away, and stop putting the blame on others and stop speaking sinful things, ..
Matthew 18-20(MSG) Take this most seriously: A yes on earth is yes in heaven; a no on earth is no in heaven. What you say to one another is eternal. I mean this. When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and make a prayer of it, my Father in heaven goes into action. And when two or three of you are together because of me, you can be sure that I’ll be there.
We must make time to pray – Mark 1:35(NLV) In the morning before the sun was up, Jesus went to a place where He could be alone. He prayed there.
We must have a place of prayer – Luke 5:16(GNT) But he would go away to lonely places, where he prayed.
Pray in an audible way – Romans 10:8-12(The Voice) But what does it actually say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the good news we have been called to preach to you). So if you believe deep in your heart that God raised Jesus from the pit of death and if you voice your allegiance by confessing the truth that “Jesus is Lord,” then you will be saved! Belief begins in the heart and leads to a life that’s right with God; confession departs from our lips and brings eternal salvation. Because what Isaiah said was true: “The one who trusts in Him will not be disgraced.” Remember that the Lord draws no distinction between Jew and non-Jew – He is Lord over all things, and He pours out His treasures on all who invoke His name.
Pray for others – Luke 22:32 (NIV) But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.
Pray with others – Matthew 18: 18-20 (MSG) Take this most seriously: A yes on earth is yes in heaven; a no on earth is no in heaven. What you say to one another is eternal. I mean this.
