22 January 2024 – God, our Champion in Battle

Psalm 24:8-10(NKJV) Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory
.
David saw God as mighty, strong and one who would go with him into battle.

Isaiah 45:2(NKJV) I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron.

Deuteronomy 28:7(NKJV) The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.

Isaiah 41:12(NLT) You will look in vain for those who tried to conquer you. Those who attack you will come to nothing.

Invite God into your battle. The battle is the Lords. He is strong and mighty and will give you strength, guidance, help and courage to prevail in whatever circumstances you find yourself. Trust in Him, He is mighty in the battle of life! Have Him by your side and on your side and you will be victorious. Be of good courage the battle is His!

No matter what you face in this life, whether it’s people or tough circumstances, know that you are not alone. God is fighting for you. You can win with the Lord on your side. Trust God.

When King Jehoshaphat was about to face a serious battle that he wasn’t sure if he would win, he called on the Lord in 2 Chronicles 20:12(NLT) O our God, won’t you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us. We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help.

God gave them the victory; they won! The Lord gave them victory over their enemies! The key here is that he called on the LORD for help. When we follow this example, we can encounter a mighty move of God in our lives as well. Hold on, overcome your battles with the Lord.

Chronicles 20:15(NLT) He said, “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.”

God is our champion in battle. God, the champion is fighting on your behalf.

1 Samuel 17:47(ESV) and that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hand.

God is willing to deal with our issues if we call upon Him, lean on Him, and depend on Him. He will save and deliver us. He is our champion in battle.
