Put Your Hope in God
Psalm 146:3-9(MSG) Don’t put your life in the hands of experts who know nothing of life, of salvation life. Mere humans don’t have what it takes; when they die, their projects die with them. Instead, get help from the God of Jacob, put your hope in GOD and know real blessing! GOD made sky and soil, sea and all the fish in it. He always does what He says— He defends the wronged, He feeds the hungry. GOD frees prisoners— He gives sight to the blind, He lifts up the fallen. GOD loves good people, protects strangers, takes the side of orphans and widows, but makes short work of the wicked.
Matthew 23:8-10(MSG) “Don’t let people do that to you, put you on a pedestal like that. You all have a single Teacher, and you are all classmates. Don’t set people up as experts over your life, letting them tell you what to do. Save that authority for God; let Him tell you what to do. No one else should carry the title of ‘Father’; you have only one Father, and he’s in heaven. And don’t let people maneuver you into taking charge of them. There is only one Life-Leader for you and them – Christ.
Trusting God is always better than trusting man, for man is fallible and prone to error, but God is infallible and always true to His Word. It is important to remember that God’s ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. He sees the bigger picture and knows what is best for us, even when we do not understand it. It may be tempting to put our trust in human leaders, but we must always remember that they are not perfect and may lead us astray.
Jeremiah 17:5(NLT) This is what the LORD says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the LORD.”
When you depend on your efforts, you might struggle for many years and achieve only a certain measure of success. But when you depend on God’s unmerited favour, you can experience accelerated blessings and promotion that years of striving and struggling can never achieve.
We each must trust God with our entire life. We need to learn that God will never let us down. We are always in His hands.
