Isaiah 41:10 (ESV) “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
There comes a time in each of our lives when our faith and trusting God in all circumstances is put to the test. When we are facing insurmountable hills and valleys it must trust God no matter what.
Isaiah 40:31 (NLT) “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Psalm 94:19 (NLT) “When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.”
What this Psalm tells us is that even in rough or desperate situations, we can be filled with the joy of the Lord. He is our consolation and His Word eases anxiety like nothing else can. God can bring joy to your soul even during times when you’re most anxious by simply knowing that He’s present and trusting in His power.
Revelation 1:17b (NLT) “But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last.”
Psalm 62:8 (NKJV) “Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.”
Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV) “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.”
God doesn’t promise us that we will never go through hard times. But he promises us that he himself, Lord of the universe will be right there with us to strengthen, keep and protect us.
God’s control of all things ensures that our circumstances will not overwhelm us, no matter how much they feel like they might.
Isaiah 59:1 (NKJV) “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.”
God’s arm is not too short to save. Nothing is impossible with God. Knowing this, we can keep praying, no matter how impossible the situation seems. No matter how far that loved one seems to be from God, God can save them. No matter how bleak our circumstances are, God can provide.
So, continue to pray to the Lord, who multiplied the loaves and fishes, who opened blind eyes, who put a coin in a fish’s mouth to pay the temple tax.
Daniel 2:21 (NLT) He controls the course of world events; he removes kings and sets up other kings.”
