Put Christ in Your Christmas!

Today is Christmas. Christmas is one of the most popular holidays. People attach different meanings to Christmas. For some it is a time of holiday, for others a time of giving gifts, for others just another day. What is the real meaning of Christmas? Jesus had such an impact on the world that time has been separated in Before Christ (BC) and After Christ (AC).

The coming of Jesus resulting into a better covenant.

Hebrews 7:22, KJV: “By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.”

Hebrews 8:6 (NKJV) “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.”

The word “better testament” translated as “guarantor,” “surety,” “security,” “sponsor,” or “promise.” Jesus was God’s ultimate plan for our salvation. Christmas is all about the solution towards a problem.

A Problem Needing a Solution

Romans 3:10-11 (NIV) “As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God.
Romans 3:23 states, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God…”

The Only Solution

John 3:3 (NIV) “Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
Acts 4:12 (NIV) “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

Christ Is Our Perfect Substitute

Isaiah 53:6 (AMPC) “All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord has made to light upon Him the guilt and iniquity of us all.”

2 Corinthians 5:16-21 (MSG) 16-20 Because of this decision we don’t evaluate people by what they have or how they look. We looked at the Messiah that way once and got it all wrong, as you know. We certainly don’t look at him that way anymore. Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it! All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. We’re Christ’s representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God’s work of making things right between them. We’re speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he’s already a friend with you. 21 How? you ask. In Christ. God put the wrong on him who never did anything wrong, so we could be put right with God”

Belief Brings Eternal Life

John 3:16 (NIV) “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Put Christ in Your Christmas!

Acts 16:31 (MSG) “Put your entire trust in the Master Jesus. Then you’ll live as you were meant to live—and everyone in your house included!”

Romans 10:9 (ESV) “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
I dearly pray that this Christmas gives you the key to any closed door and shines as a light. Above all, the peace of Christ be with you. Enjoy a Christmas with joy and splendour of Christ’s birth. Christmas is a message of hope and faith. Happy Christmas
