Zechariah 4:6-7(MSG) “They only come about through my Spirit,’ says God-of-the-Angel-Armies. ‘So, big mountain, who do you think you are? Next to Zerubbabel you’re nothing but a molehill. He’ll proceed to set the Cornerstone in place, accompanied by cheers: Yes! Yes! Do it!’”
A problem is an opportunity! Jesus instructed His disciples not to get into anxious praying, but to operate through faith in God. Mark 11:22(AMPC) And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly].
The words we speak are vital to our future. Proverbs 18:21(AMPC) Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].
The kingdom of God operates on a word system. We don’t have a choice of whether we live by words, but we do have a choice of what words we live by.
According to Genesis 2:7(HNV) God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. The breath Genesis is referring to here, was the result of the words of faith God spoke into man. The Jewish sages write that God made man a speaking spirit just like Himself. Man was created with God’s dominion and authority, with the very same ability to speak words of faith.
Job 22:28(AMP) You will also decide and decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And the light [of God’s favor] will shine upon your ways.
Mark 11:22-23(AMP) Jesus replied, “Have faith in God [constantly]. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will].”
We see here three fundamental elements of faith that gets great results:
- Have faith in God – faith in His Word and in the promises of God.
- Believe in your heart, without doubting.
- Speak the Word of God out loud – say with your mouth what you believe.
Believe in your heart and say with your mouth. Believing God and His Word is of great importance. But Jesus encourages us further to articulate, to say aloud what we believe and trust God for. There is great power in the spoken word of faith.
1 John 5:14-15(NLT) And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.
