28 July 2023 – Jesus, knowing they were out to get him, moved on

28 July Jesus, knowing they were out to get him, moved on

Matthew 12:15-21(MSG) Jesus, knowing they were out to get him, moved on. A lot of people followed him, and he healed them all. He also cautioned them to keep it quiet, following guidelines set down by Isaiah: Look well at my handpicked servant; I love him so much, take such delight in him. I’ve placed my Spirit on him; he’ll decree justice to the nations. But he won’t yell, won’t raise his voice; there’ll be no commotion in the streets. He won’t walk over anyone’s feelings, won’t push you into a corner. Before you know it, his justice will triumph; the mere sound of his name will signal hope, even among far-off unbelievers.

In Mathew 12:14(MSG) we read: The Pharisees walked out furious, sputtering about how they were going to ruin Jesus.

Jesus knows this. He knew that the Pharisees were out to ruin Him. They wanted to kill him but despite this, Jesus kept on. He focused on what his Father had sent Him to do. He was determined on his calling and purpose, and nothing was going to stop Him.
As children of God, we have to keep on moving. We should not let anything stop us.

Philippians 3:14(ESV) I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 43:16-21(MSG) This is what GOD says, the God who builds a road right through the ocean, who carves a path through pounding waves, The God who summons horses and chariots and armies – they lie down and then can’t get up; they’re snuffed out like so many candles: “Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands. Wild animals will say ‘Thank you!’ – the coyotes and the buzzards – Because I provided water in the desert, rivers through the sunbaked earth, Drinking water for the people I chose, the people I made especially for myself, a people custom-made to praise me.

Job 17:9(TLB) the righteous shall move onward and forward; those with pure hearts shall become stronger and stronger.

I conclude with: “You must make a decision that you are going to move on. It won’t happen automatically. You will have to rise up and say, ‘I don’t care how hard this is, I don’t care how disappointed I am, I’m not going to let this get the best of me. I’m moving on with my life.” – Joel Osteen
