Myles Monroe defines faith as follows: “The New Testament word ‘faith’ comes from the Greek word pistis, simply means ‘belief’ or ‘confidence’. Having faith means believing and having confidence in the words that you hear. It believes in something that is not seen as though it is already a reality—and then speaking it and expecting it until it manifests itself. Everyone lives by this definition of faith, and people usually receive precisely what they have faith for. Why? Men and women were created in God’s image to operate in the same way He does — through words of faith.”
Psalm 33:9 (NKJV) For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
Hebrews 11:3 (NKJV) By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
Peter recalled an incident when he saw the result of Jesus’ words.
Mark 11:20-22 (NKJV) Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away. So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.
Most translations give Jesus’ reply as: Have faith in God, yet this is not the way it was written in the original Greek text. Its literal translation is: Have the God kind of faith.

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
The Bible says about faith: – Romans 10:17 (NKJV) So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Faith comes by continual hearing. Faith comes from the word that is near you. Romans 10:10-11 (NKJV) For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
Keep believing and talking about the goodness of God and the impossibilities that God can do. We read in the Bible in Romans 4:17 (NKJV) (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed – God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;
