4 May 2024 – Psalm 4

Answer when I call

Psalm 4 starts with a plea for assistance, Psalm 4:1a(NLT) Answer me when I call to you, This is not just a call; it’s a prayer of trust, which concludes with an affirmation of faith, Psalm 4:7(CJB) You have filled my heart with more joy than all their grain and new wine.

Answer me. . .. In times of need, we turn to God, just as David did with confidence. Our approach to God must be in faith. Even when we express our deepest concerns, fears, and feelings, we must maintain reverence for Him, knowing that He cares for us.

. .when I call. .. Calling out to God is a prayer. Regardless of our situation, whether in moments of happiness or in despair, we must always remember to seek God’s guidance. He always acts justly, especially for the innocent and those in distress. Even in difficult times, we can find peace through prayer, knowing that He will be there to support us.

Our circumstances might not always bring joy, but the relationship we have with Christ will be a source of joy and peace.

Instead of focusing on our problems, let’s direct our concerns towards Christ. God listens and responds. It’s essential to place our trust in God.

Verse 3 of Psalm 4 says in the NLT: You can be sure of this: The Lord set apart the godly for himself. The Lord will answer when I call to him.

Have a great day.
