To have revival we must Pray
It is not possible that a revived Christian will be a non-praying Christian.
Ezekiel 36:26 shares, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
We should set aside a daily quite time with God. The following will assist you in making the best of the time spent with God.
Quiet Your Mind – Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God.
Focus Your Mind through worship – Psalms 100:2 Serve the LORD cheerfully. Come into his presence with a joyful song.
Pray Your Mind – 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your burdens unto him, because he cares for you.
Renew Your Mind – Read the Bible – Psalms 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Listen to Your Mind – Spirit – 2Sameul 23:2 “The spirit of the LORD speaks through me; his message is on my lips.”
Write your Mind – Write down what God speaks through your Spirit. Habakkuk 2:2b Write down clearly on tablets. Habakkuk 2:3 Put it in writing.
Share your Mind – Ask God to show you how you should encourage and do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
It seems God is limited by our prayer life—that He can do nothing for humanity unless someone asks Him. —John Wesley
Watchman Nee once said that prayer is to the will of God as railway tracks are to a train. A train engine can have tremendous power; it can go a thousand miles a day, it can pull a heavy load. It can have all the potential in the world, but unless there are tracks for it to go on, it’s not going anywhere. The train and tracks are designed to work together.
“I pray because I can’t help myself. … I pray because the need flows out of me all the time, waking and sleeping. It doesn’t change God. It changes me.” C.S. Lewis
“I have so much to do that I shall spend the first three hours in prayer.” Martin Luther
Dr Reuben Archer Torrey said, “Prayer is the key that unlocks all the storehouses of God’s infinite grace and power. All that God is, and all that God has, is at the disposal of the prayer. But we must use the key. Prayer can do anything that God can do, and as God can do anything, prayer is omnipotent.”
