Matt 24:6 And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not alarmed”

Psalm 46:1-3 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.

Isaiah 26:20 “Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, until the fury has passed by.”

Psalm 57:1b “In the shadow of your wings I will take refuge, till the storms of destruction pass by.”

Colossians 3:3 “Your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Psalm 112:7 “He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the LORD.”

1 John 5:4 “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”

There are many battles ahead, Jesus has fought every battle before and won them. As you put your faith in Jesus in these upcoming battles, your victory is certain. Therefore, see that you are not alarmed, God is in control.

Romans 8:18 (NIV) “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Several governments teach there are 3 things people should do in the event of an earthquake. These are 1. Drop 2. Cover 3. Hold on.

Drop. In the time of crises, we must drop before God and humble ourselves.

2 Chronicles 7:14 “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.”

Cover. In an earthquake you have to cover your head and neck with your arms or crawl underneath a shelter. Stay on your knees or bend over to protect vital organs. Interestingly dropping down low offers protection for your most vital organs such as your heart.

Proverbs 4:20-27 (NLT) “My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. 21 Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, 22 for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body. 23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. 24 Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupt speech. 25 Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. 26 Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. 27 Don’t get side-tracked; keep your feet from following evil.

To guard your heart, you must fill it with God’s word.

Hold on to God. In a crisis hold on to God. Deuteronomy 32:4 (NLT) “He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is!”

Have a great day.
