When we just become mechanical in our worship, it is time for the fire to fall. When everything goes, and we do not care about sin, it is time for the fire of God to fall. The only fire that some of us have left is a flickering of what God has done years ago. There is no fire in our worship. No fire in our life. No fire in our prayer. We need the fire of God in our lives. The fire of God will change your entire life. Moses had such an experience with God that changed his entire life.
Exodus 3:1-4 (NIV) Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.” When the LORD saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.”
Since the day Moses experienced the fire of God, his entire life went in a new direction. The same person that once ran away from Egypt, God has now called to become the saviour of the oppressed Israel. From a place of hiding, fear and covert, God called him to become the leader that would change the entire course of God’s people. God called Moses to become the course changer, to lead His people to a place of victory. From oppression to victory. That is the effect of the power of God in our lives, it can change the entire course of your life. It has the power to burn away all oppression, depression, and unbelieve. We need a burning bush experience with God.
We need the fire of God in our lives again, in our prayer, in our worship. It is time for the fire of God to fall. Let the fire fall in your life.
