7 October 2021 – The Power of the blessing

Numbers 6:24-26 (NIV) “The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; 26 the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

It is God’s will to bless you! It is the impartation of the supernatural power of God into our life. It is God’s will to bless every aspect of our life. This supernatural blessing is invoked by speaking it aloud. Once the blessing has been spoken, it cannot be withdrawn!

The source of any blessing should be the Lord and that a supernatural power is released when we bless and praise His Holy name. Speak confidence, success, love, joy, and peace.

Romans 12:14 (NIV) “Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.”

Blessings bring forth life. Blessing is life giving and has creative power. Power follows your words. Blessing is powerful to cut through the plans and strategies of the enemy. Life-giving words, sourced in God’s heart, break the power of cursing and negativity. Blessing releases the power of God when we are undergoing opposition from others.

Hebrews 11:20-21(NIV) “By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau regarding their future. 21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff.”

Blessing is an act of faith

Isaiah 55:11 (NIV) “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Matthew 5:5-6 (MSG) “You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are—no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought. 6 “You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God. He’s food and drink in the best meal you’ll ever eat.

Blessing is not an event, it is the word of the Father over our lives that manifests through our life’s journey.

Job 42:12 (LB) “So the Lord blessed Job at the end of his life more than at the beginning”

We can rest assured that no matter what is happening, the blessing of God over our lives is acting like a great magnet, drawing us irresistibly towards the fulfillment of that blessing.
