8 August 2023 – God revealed Jesus as the living word of God

Since the beginning, God has been speaking His word to reveal Himself to us. He created mankind in His image. We were created for God, to know Him, to love Him, and to seek after Him.

1 Corinthians 2:9(NLT) That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”

God is looking to reveal Himself to us. Jesus is the revealed Word of God.

Jesus states in John 6:51(AMP) “I am the Living Bread that came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread [believes in Me, accepts Me as Savior], he will live forever. And the Bread that I will give for the life of the world is My flesh (body).”

Jesus is the living Word of God. John 6:63(AMP) It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh conveys no benefit [it is of no account]. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life [providing eternal life].

Hebrews 1:1-2(ESV) Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.

John 1:1(AMP) In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.

John 1:14(AMP) And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, who is] full of grace and truth (absolutely free of deception).

“John calls Jesus the Word because he had come to see the words of Jesus as the truth of God and the person of Jesus as the truth of God in such a unified way that Jesus himself – in his coming, and working, and teaching, and dying and rising – was the final and decisive message of God. Or, to put it more simply: what God had to say to us was not only or mainly what Jesus said but who Jesus was and what he did. His words clarified himself and his work. But his self and his work were the main truth God was revealing. “I am the truth,” – John Piper

He came to witness the truth. John 18:37(ESV) Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world – to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”

Jesus was the truth. John 14:6(ESV) Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

When we abide in him, we are abiding in the word. John 15:7(ESV) If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

I conclude by saying that God revealed His word through Jesus, which is truly the Word of God. Revelation 19:13(ESV) He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.
