Psalm 130:5 (NLT) “I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word.”
What does it mean to count on someone? It means we place our trust in him. We have confidence that he will help us. The times that we are living in are rapidly changing. Although everything around us is changing we want stability. When everything else is up in the air, we need something in our life that never change; an anchor for our soul. We all need a stability to handle the difficulties of a continuous changing world. There is only one problem: On this planet, nothing lasts. There is only one thing we can count on that is not ever going to change: the consistency of God. In an everchanging world, we can count on God.
Psalm 71:3(NIV) “In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame. Rescue me and deliver me in your righteousness; turn your ear to me and save me. Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress”
We can count on God for everything. We can put our hope in His word. Nothing is beyond his power.
Psalm 31:14-15 (NKJV) “But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hand;”

2 Timothy 2:13, (NIV). “If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself”
Man says, show me and I will trust you. God says Trust me and I’ll show you.
Psalm 131:2 (NLT) ‘’Instead, I have calmed and quieted myself, like a weaned child who no longer cries for its mother’s milk. Yes, like a weaned child is my soul within me.”
