We learn that the Holy Spirit gives us the power to live the Christian life as a witness for God.
Acts 1:8(NLT) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere – in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
Rom 15:13(KJV) Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
The Holy Spirit has manifested the omnipotence of His power in creation works. The creation of the heavens above us, is said to be the work of God’s Spirit.
Job 26:13(NLT) His Spirit made the heavens beautiful.
The manifestation of the Holy Spirit’s power is to be found in the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 3:18(NKJV) For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit.
Romans 8:11(KJV) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
One of the things that the power of the Holy Spirit does is to transform our lives. 2 Peter 1:3(NIV) His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
His power fully equips us to live godly lives. Unlike the lives we lived prior to coming to Christ.
The power of the Holy Spirit, operating in our life, also serves to provide us with the strength we need to serve God.
2 Corinthians 12:9(NIV) But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
