9 December 2021 – To have Revival we need a Holy Spirit Driven Life Part 2

Galatians 5:16 AMP But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).”

There is a great difference between living in the Spirit and walking in the Spirit.

Galatians. 5:25 NKJV “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

The power for a victorious living is only activated and appropriated when you walk in or walk by the Spirit.

Romans. 8:13 (AMP) “For if you live according to [the dictates of] the flesh, you will surely die. But if through the power of the [Holy] Spirit you are [habitually] putting to death (making extinct, deadening) the [evil] deeds prompted by the body, you shall [really and genuinely] live forever.”

What does it imply to walk in the Spirit?

Gal. 5:25 (AMP) “If we live by the [Holy] Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. [If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God, let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit.]”

Walking in the Spirit – being responsive to, controlled, guided, governed, directed or ruled by the Holy Spirit that actually releases to you the supernatural power to live a victorious, overcoming, prosperous or successful Christian life in this evil world.

Walking in the spirit is a God consciousness. It’s having Christ foremost in all your affections. It’s pursuing God with all of your heart.

Ephesians 5:18(TLB) “Be filled … with the Holy Spirit and controlled by him.”

Galatians 5:16 (ESV) “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”

How do we walk in the Spirit?

Pray about everything – Philippians 4:6 (LB) “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers.”

Be led by the Holy Spirit – Galatians 5:16 (LB) “I advise you to obey only the Holy Spirit’s instructions. He will tell you where to go and what to do, and then you won’t always be doing the wrong things your evil nature wants you to.”

Sowing to the Spirit – Galatians 6:8 (NKJV) “He who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” –

Producing Fruit – Galatians 5:22-23 (LB) “But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control; and here there is no conflict with the law.”

Do what is pleasing to God – Ephesians 5:8–10 (ESV) “for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10 and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.”
