9 May 2021 – No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper

Isaiah 54:17″No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper”

In Hebrew, “weapon” means any tool or utensil or “thing” used against a person. A weapon is anything that could be used against you for an evil intent. The reason “no weapon formed against you shall prosper” is not because you are a great warrior, but because God is.

Jeremiah 20:11a “But the LORD is with me like a mighty warrior”

Joshua 23:10 “One man of you puts to flight a thousand, since it is the LORD your God who fights for you, just as he promised you”.

Could you single-handedly chase away a thousand soldiers? No, but God can—and it is He who fights for you. The Bible declares in Psalm 34:19 (NLT) “The righteous face many troubles, but the LORD rescues them from each and every one.”

Psalms 34:19-20 KJV Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. (20) He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

Someone once said, “God has brought you through the ocean, He won’t let you drown in the bathtub.”

2 Corinthians 1:7 (TLB) “God will tenderly comfort you when you undergo these same sufferings.”

The righteous are not immune to trouble. In fact, David testified that righteous people face many afflictions in this life. Similarly, Jesus warned His disciples: John 16:33 “In the world ye shall have tribulation” We’ll all experience hardship, struggles, trials and tribulations. The storms will come. We may feel like some of our hopes have been crushed. But God always shows up in our weaknesses.

2 Corinthians 12:10 (AMP) “So I am well pleased with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, and with difficulties, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak [in human strength], then I am strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God’s strength].”

When we are weak, then we can become strong. Not on our own power, but through the power of God. So, when will the weak become strong? Only when we understand our weakness can we become strong — When we find our strength in the Lord and not in ourselves. Ephesians 6:10 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.”

Have a victorious day.
