The reason for creation

The Lord has made everything for his own purposes.

The anointing and the gift

gift of the Holy Spirit to minister to the body of Christ as taught in I Corinthians 12 is charisma in the Greek text.

By contrast, the word “anointing” in the New Testament is chrisma in the Greek

The anointing and the gift

  • 1 John 2:20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.
  • 1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.

1 Peter 2: 9 “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, GOD’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of HIM who called you out of darkness into HIS wonderful light.”

ANOINTING IS NOT FOR US BUT FOR SERVICE UNTO OTHERS.

Anointing:

  • This is when God supernaturally blesses our ministry and works through us in such a measure that we know it wasn’t just us.   Our talent or skills may achieve some things, but when God anoints us the fruit and the impact is greater than anything we can achieve alone. Anointing is often accompanied by a greater awareness of God’s presence, both in the one serving, and in those receiving.  We should be constantly offering our talents and skills to God, asking Him to anoint them so we can bless others.
  • Anointing: is the ability given to the believer by God to do whatever He has called him to do.  Operate in power in your calling above natural ability. God anoints people that love Him more than they love their own lives, and that love others as themselves.  As we open our hearts to love others God’s anointing flows through us.   When we close our hearts to others and grieve the Holy Spirit the flow stops.  The anointing of the Holy Spirit is given through people to demonstrate God’s love and power. Christ means the “Anointed One”.  Because Christ is in us the same anointing that He had on earth we also have. The anointing is the river of life that flows from the throne through your heart and penetrates other people’s hearts.  The free-flowing anointing of God’s love brings joy to God and that joy is felt by the person He flows through.  Love is the joy we get from God when we put His benefit and the benefit of another person before our own.

How to increase the anointing in your life?

1. Activate the Anointing by Focusing on God’s Word

Hebrews 4:12  “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

  • Isaiah 55:11 “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
  • Jeremiah 23:29 “Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?”
  • Jeremiah 23:29 “Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

2. Activate the Anointing by believing the word of God

The anointing works according to your level of faith

  • Faith comes by hearing
  • Faith comes by seeing
  • Faith comes by doing
  • Faith increases as you use what you have
  • Faith: is the ability given to a believer by God to have dominion over time, space and matter. To break the law of time
  • Faith is given to: interrupt the process of time, accelerate the natural and manifest the supernatural.
  • Heb 11;1 Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

“Throw yourself into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for Him is a waste of time or effort.” ― Rick Warren,
