Answer the following questions:
- Does God have all the power?
- For God to release his power do we need to pray?
- Do we bother God enough to finally get Him to release his power in our life’s?
- Does God require a certain amount of prayer before he answers prayer?
1. God has deposited his power in us
Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Eph 3:20 that is able
above all
Abundantly above all
Exceeding abundantly above all
that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
God’s unlimited power is limited to our prayers. God has all the power but his power is limited to our prayer life. We release God’s power through our prayers. Keep on praying until God’s power is released.
2. Keep on praying
1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells us, “Keep on praying.”
Philippians 4:6-7.Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus”
Psalm 88:13 “O LORD, I cry out to you. I will keep on pleading day by day”.
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will direct your paths”
3. Myths about a quiet time with God
- It must be between 4am to 6am in the morning
- It must be for a certain time, for example an hour
- It is a one-way conversation
- God don’t talk to us anymore
4. Setting a quiet time
Set an appointment with God – God always comes to a prepared atmosphere. – Prepare to meet God.
Set a time and a place – Pick a time when you are at your best.
Mar 1:35 And in the morning, a long time before daylight, he got up and went out to a quiet place, and there he gave himself up to prayer
Psa 119:147 Before sunrise I call to you for help; I place my hope in your promise.

5. Listen to Your Mind
Ps 45:1 My heart overflows with a pleasant theme.
Psa 45:1 Beautiful words fill my mind, as I compose this song for the king. Like the pen of a good writer my tongue is ready with a poem.
2Sa 23:2 The spirit of the LORD speaks through me; his message is on my lips.
6. Write your Mind
