- Our Lord Jesus Christ, being about to die, makes all the necessary preparations, discharges all functions of a dying man.
- He charges his friends with his last commands and gives them the precious and peculiar blessing of peace.
- This was Christ’s last will and testament, the best legacy he could leave with them.
- The best/most valuable asset and legacy Christ left us with is his PEACE-SHALOM IN US.
- The PEACE of our Lord Jesus Christ is our inheritance.
- You can have peace in the midst of chaotic world when Christ reigns in your heart.
- Jesus Christ our Lord is the Prince of peace. (ISAIAH9:6).
- What is the meaning of peace.
- The Hebrew word for peace, shalom is derived from a root denoting wholeness or completeness.
- In the Bible SHALOM is mostly commonly used to refer to a state of affairs one of well-being, tranquility , prosperity and security circumstances by any sort of defect.
SHALOM-PEACE is a blessing a manifestation of divine grace.

- PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU.
- When he was about to leave he made his will.
- His soul was committed to the Father his body was decently interred.
- His clothes fell to the soldiers,
- He left his mother in the care of John.
- What was he leaving with the disciples that left everything to follow-him.
- SILVER and GOLD he had none.
- Jesus left the Disciple with something that was infinitely better his peace he left them.
- He did not only gave them the TITLE DEED of peace but he put it into their possession.
Christ is our peace EPHESIANS2:4
- The peace of God is competent to produce harmony among the inward feelings.
- While there is INTERNAL DISCORD there cannot be EXTERNAL HARMONY.
MY PEACE I GIVE TO YOU.
- Jesus sleeping on the pillow in the boat- MARK 4:37-39.

- Peace of God keeps our heart and minds.
- Apostle Paul blends the conception of peace and war ( military term) to express the office of the SHALOM-PEACE-Divine PEACE.
- The peace of God is the GARRISON-military guard of our hearts……
- Divine Peace takes upon itself warlike functions-garrison-the HEART and MIND.
- The whole inner man in all its manifold operations the indwelling peace God will guards and garrison us.
3.THE PECULIARITY OF THE PEACE OF GOD
JOHN 14:27C
“NOT AS THE WORLD GIVES”-The method of the world in giving peace is by a careful adjustment of external things.
- The world defines as the absent of war and ignore the instability inside.
- While there is INTERNAL DISCORD there cannot be EXTERNAL HARMONY
- Troubles may come your way but in Christ we have peace JOHN16:33.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God and trust also in me . JOHN14:1.
- The world system of peace seeks to freeze and quietens the screaming of the inner man for the saviour and atonement.
- The world gives false peace, insincere and not sound PASLM55:21.
- The peace of the world is fragile.
- How soon is the peace of trading man’s peace, our domestic peace, our peace of mind, broken, it is broken.
- The peace of the word is insincere and deceitful.
- The peace of the world gives is limited in its duration.
The difference between ordinary peace and the peace of God SHALOM(Hebrew).
Rabbi Robert 1 Kahn capsulizes the distinctive of “ROMAN PEACE” and “Hebrew”-Shalom.
One can dictate a peace shalom is a mutual agreement
Peace is the temporary pact, Shalom is the permanent agreement.
One can make peace treaty shalom is the condition of peace.
Peace can be negative the absence of commotion Shalom is positive, the presence of security
Peace can be PARTIAL, Shalom is WHOLE.
*PEACE can be PIECEMEAL, SHALOM is COMPLETE.
