When Jesus Is In Your Boat

Preposition:  Because the Lord Jesus Christ is in the you will not sink or drown

Mark 4: 35-41

  • The journey to the other side through the sea of Galilee was initiated by the Lord Jesus Christ after a long and exhausting day of ministering to the multitudes.
  • There was a purpose and divine mission to fulfil on the side of the Sea or the lake.
  • After the cross the sea of Galilee, we see the restoration of the demon-possessed Man, the resurrection of Jairus daughter and the healing of the woman with issue of blood.
  • When evening came Jesus said, “Let us go over to the other side.” Mark 4:35
  • “A furious Squall came up and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped” Mark 4: 37.

  • “A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all” Psalm 34:19
  • “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.” Matthew 10: 24 (NKJV).
  • The worst thing that can happen during the storm is to wish it away. (denial)
  • Faith does not deny the reality, but looks/goes beyond the temporary reality to eternal and permanent realities of God’s powerful promise.
  • “When you pass through the waters, I will with you, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be not burned, the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:2
  • When admit our frustrations/storms of life, we can deal with them successfully.
  • We need to see the reality of the storms and the permanent reality of the manifestation of God’s greatness in the midst of the storm.
  • Lamentations 3: 23 “the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end, they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness.  
  • When admit that we are in the storm, we will seek help- the disciples called on Jesus’ help.
  • Sometimes people drown in denial than in the storm itself.
  •  The Lord Jesus was in the Boat.

                  Mark 4:38

  • “Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat.” Mark 4: 36.
  • The righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord will deliver him from them all.” Psalms 34:19
  • Even though you may be in right standing with God, and Jesus is the resident of your heart, storms do come your way. Job 1:
  • The storms of life do come to both the strong and the weak, however, it depends on your foundation. Matthew 7:25-building on the rock surface is very what determine your victory.
  • Everyone at some point will go through the storm, wether you obey the Lord or not storms will come.
  • There are two kinds of storms in our lives- 1. The visible and invisible inside storms.
  • Always remember that Jesus was in the boat and they were not going to drown.
  • Jesus is in the boat, you will not sink nor drown.
  • “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning”. Psalm 30: 5
  • While Jesus slept as man, as God he was watchful.
  • “Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep” Psalm 121:4
  • Always remember that there is another side of the storm.
  • There are three recorded miracles after they crossed the sea of Galilee.
  • Demon Possessed man was delivered
  • Jairus’ daughter was raised from the dead.
  • The woman with issue of blood was healed.
  • Jesus Christ our LORD is the master of all the natural forces, as their creator, when he speaks they obey. .( the omnipotent God he is)
